Panda Pet Services FAQ's
What type of training & behaviour is available? Positive reward-based training methods only, which are kind, fair, engaging and fun for your dog. Aversives and harsh handling or any type of physical force is not permitted. Nose collars, slip leads, e-collars, choke and prong collars, or spray collars are deemed to be unacceptable by the business.
How does the behaviour training work?
There will be an initial behaviour consultation which will take place at the owner's home or online. Subsequent sessions will be held either at the owner's home, outdoors or online, as appropriate for the training. At the consultation, your pet will be assessed and you will be provided with an easy to follow behaviour plan. Modifying behaviour involves changing the dog's emotions so the process usually takes time and requires commitment from owners. The training plan can be developed with further sessions (@ £65 per hour). Whatsapp support is included for review of the training at each stage inbetween sessions. Together, we can make a real difference.
Why is a vet visit recommended for behaviour change? Dogs are resilient and able to mask pain or discomfort. Sometimes a medical component may be present which could contribute to the behaviour. It may not initially be obvious that an issue exists and a vet health check can help to reveal any underlying issues. Vet prescribed anti-anxiety medication may be recommended in some cases, thus owners, myself & the vet will collaborate throughout the process for optimal results.
How does the puppy training work?
Puppy training is available for young puppies around 2-4 months. 121 puppy training sessions are £65 per 1 hour session and the fundamentals of training will be taught. The aim is to help owners and puppies to have clear communication and trust. Further training sessions will ensure that your puppy learns how to be well behaved in any given environment. Whatsapp support is included.
How do the 1 hour dog training sessions work?
These are designed for young adolescent dogs who require general obedience training eg. lead walking or recall @ £65 per hour. Whatsapp support is included.
Is the training effective & will I see results? The most contemporary positive training techniques are used, whilst ensuring that you are fully supported throughout the process. With consistency & following of the training plan, owners will see positive behavioural results.
